■ Selling Price (Room Rate)

■ Charges Other Than the Room Rate

Accommodation Tax: Charged separately, based on the room rate, in accordance with the ordinance of the municipality where the property is located. Regardless of the reservation channel, it is payable at check-in, at the front desk or a self-check-in kiosk at the property (the payment method varies by property).

Bathing Tax (Onsen Tax): For stays at properties located in a hot spring area, this tax is collected separately, either on-site or online, based on the room rate, in accordance with the ordinance of the municipality where the property is located. (This tax does not apply to properties not located in a hot spring area.)

Service Charge: At properties whose room rate does not include a service charge, a separate service charge will be applied to the room rate and any additional charges. Whether a service charge applies, and its rate, is set out in the rate schedule established for each property or stay plan.

■ Payment Method

Payment for the room rate and related charges is made either by online advance payment using an online payment method provided by the booking site or similar (credit card, code payment, etc.), or by a cashless payment method designated by the hotel at the property (credit card, contactless payment, code payment, etc.). Whether on-site payment is available, and which payment methods can be used, varies by property and by booking site. In addition, at properties that accept cash payment, you may also pay in cash at the front desk or other on-site location. Whether cash payment is accepted varies by property; please check the information provided by the property concerned for details.

■ Timing of Payment

・For online advance payment: You will be charged, and payment will be processed, when your reservation is completed.

・For on-site payment: Payment is due at check-in, or when invoiced by the hotel. (The accommodation tax is payable on-site regardless of the reservation channel.)

■ Timing of Provision (Stay Date)

The accommodation service is provided on the stay date specified at the time of booking. The hours of use run from the check-in time to the check-out time set by the hotel (or as otherwise specified by the stay plan), and the check-in and check-out times are shown on the booking page and in the information provided by each property.

■ Cancellation and Refunds

1. Due to the nature of the service, no refund will be given after the stay.

2. For cancellations made before the stay (cancellation of the reservation), the following cancellation fees will be charged in accordance with our Accommodation Terms and Conditions (Appended Table 2).

[General (reservations for up to 14 guests)]

・No-show (without notice): 100% of the base room rate

・Cancellation on the day of stay: 100% of the base room rate

・Cancellation the day before: 30% of the base room rate

・Cancellation 7 days before: 10% of the base room rate

・Cancellation 14 days before: 0% of the base room rate

[Group (reservations for 15 or more guests)]

・No-show (without notice): 100% of the base room rate

・Cancellation on the day of stay: 100% of the base room rate

・Cancellation the day before: 80% of the base room rate

・Cancellation 7 days before: 30% of the base room rate

・Cancellation 14 days before: 20% of the base room rate

3. For properties operating in the form of a ryokan (Japanese-style inn) business, more detailed cancellation fee categories and rates — including categories going back as far as 30 days before the stay date — may be separately established and specified for that property, depending on its business format. In such cases, the specified cancellation fee categories and rates will apply to that property in preference to the above.

4. If part of a group reservation (15 or more guests) is cancelled, no cancellation fee will be charged for a number of guests equal to 10% of the number of guests as of 10 days before the stay date (or, if the booking was accepted after that date, as of the date of acceptance), rounding up any fraction.

5. If a third-party booking site (OTA) or a specific discount plan has its own cancellation policy that differs from the above, the terms of that plan will apply in preference.
